Conservation Commission approves peer review and bond for Carter Avenue project.

BLACKSTONE — Conservation Commission requires ANRAD for Elm Street earth removal expansion. The commission voted unanimously to require Kimball Sand Co. to submit an Abbreviated Notification to the Regional DPM for its proposal to expand an existing gravel mining operation onto approximately 77 acres, with 40 acres proposed for disturbance, after residents raised concerns about drinking water, wetland impacts, and traffic. The commission also voted unanimously to sign a Certificate of Compliance for Bittersweet Condos at 260 Main Street and approved peer review and a bond requirement for an ANRAD at 41 Carter Avenue.
Chair Jordan Andrade advised the commission that the Conservation Fund will not appear on the town warrant after the Select Board outlined concerns.
