BLACKSTONE — Conservation Commission issues variance for 8 Spruce Street residential project. Chairman Jordan Andrade's motion to approve the Notice of Intent with mandatory monthly environmental monitoring passed 5-1, with Ed Arsenault opposed. The applicant significantly reduced impacts from an original proposal: the house moved from 29.9 feet to 44.8 feet from the on-site wetland, and a 30- to 45-foot undisturbed buffer will remain.
A contracted Environmental Monitoring Specialist must inspect the site monthly until stabilization. The Commission also approved invoices totaling $287.58 and continued the Certificate of Compliance hearing for Bittersweet Condos at 260 Main Street.
