Historical Commission approves prior minutes, plans senior visit delay.
Historical Commission · Meeting of March 4, 2026
Blackstone Historical Commission unanimously accepts prior minutes, defers senior visit. Chairman Mike Buckley reported museum staffing for March and April filled and will investigate commission apparel options. The body approved a 12-by-30-foot metal sign for the museum's back entrance facing the bike path, with a $930 estimate to be pursued through town funding or the commission's gift fund.
A Department of Energy Resources grant supporting a heat pump and weatherization project was announced. The commission confirmed performer Davis Bates will conduct a May 2 Celtic Celebration program at the museum at a cost between $325 and $550, and agreed a planned mural project will be executed by high school art students rather than as a contest.
