Historical Commission discusses museum programs and 250th celebration plans

Blackstone Historical Commission approves prior minutes and plans summer events. Chairman Mike Buckley reported February museum staffing is complete and the Commission unanimously accepted January 14 minutes. The Commission is pursuing a Celtic Celebration program by storyteller Davis Bates (estimated cost 325 to 550 dollars) and plans an open house at the museum during the town's July 23-26 250th Semiquincentennial Celebration.
The Commission delayed a planned visit by seniors until spring, declined two Senior Center cabinets, and is exploring signage for the museum back entrance, a high school mural contest, and golf shirts for members.
