Library Board approves FY27 budget submissions, discusses server replacement needs.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Blackstone Library Board approves dual FY27 budget submissions, flagging infrastructure needs. Director Lisa Cheever submitted both a level-funded budget and a fifty percent reduction scenario to the Town Administrator per request. The Board prioritized an updated server and staff computers after last month's server crash left several machines unable to receive critical updates.

Cheever reported two new grants: $2,500 from UniBank for STEAM programming and approved funding for patron laptops, tablets, and Chromebooks. The Library is now providing the New York Times, Milford Daily News, and Boston Globe through EBSCO.
