Library Board submits two budget scenarios to Town Administrator.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of February 12, 2026

BLACKSTONE — Library Board of Trustees submits two budget scenarios to the Town Administrator. Director Lisa Cheever presented a 50 percent reduction budget of $721,407 and a level-funded budget of $704,557 in response to a municipal request for contingency planning. Cheever warned Trustees that failure to meet the Municipal Appropriation Requirement could trigger library decertification, resulting in loss of CW/MARS borrowing privileges and a years-long process to restore certification status.

No vote was taken at the workshop; a formal vote is scheduled for the next regular meeting March 9, 2026.
