BLACKSTONE — Parks and Recreation Commission approves major equipment and field maintenance purchases. Commissioners voted unanimously to buy six tables and trash receptacles for $10,725.92 from Uline, fence capping for $5,430.00, and grass seed for $5,392.00. The board also approved Bay State Bulls softball tryouts at Turbesi Park on July 20 and July 22 pending insurance and a $20 fee, and greenlighted a "Caught Riding Safe" incentive program in coordination with police.
Bills totaling approximately $3,700 were approved, and commissioners deferred new quotes for basketball court resurfacing to future discussion.
