Planning Board reorganizes; marijuana hearing deferred to Town Meeting

Blackstone Planning Board reorganizes and votes to recommend marijuana social consumption zoning amendment. Chairman Paul Marvelle was re-elected 3-1, with Owen Bebeau as Vice Chairman and Joe Belrose as Clerk and CMRPC delegate. The board voted 3-1 to recommend an amendment to Section 123-23.7 of the Town's Zoning Bylaws allowing one marijuana social consumption establishment, deferring final action to Town Meeting.
The board also unanimously approved a special permit and site plan for Parcel 10-153 Butler Street pending three engineering resolutions, approved amendments to Section 123-12 on Lot Merger Doctrine, and authorized Town Planner Bruce Webb to pursue Community One Stop for Growth grant funding.
