Blackstone Selectmen finalize FY27 budget at $35.3 million with 1.97 percent growth. The Board approved 43 warrant articles for the 2026 Annual Town Meeting, including $1.8 million for public safety radio infrastructure (passed 4-1 with Chairman Keefe opposed), $225,000 for Roosevelt Park electrical repairs, and $1.5 million for water main replacement on Lakeview and Valley Streets. The Board funded 5 percent salary increases for the Collector/Treasurer and Town Clerk but declined to fund a new police patrol officer position; the library budget was cut to $676,497 after the department requested $783,935.

Town Administrator Chad Lovett announced his resignation effective June 6, 2026.
