Water Commission accepts commitments totaling over $627,000.

BLACKSTONE — Water and Sewer Commission unanimously approves $627,084.97 in commitments. The board accepted a water commitment of $358,107.17 and a sewer commitment of $268,977.80, both dated December 15, 2025, during its February 12 meeting. Superintendent Sullivan reported ongoing repairs to water mains on David Drive, Lakeshore Drive, and Valley Street, with the latter estimated at approximately $400,000 pending bid posting.

The commission is pursuing a potential state grant of up to $150,000 to fund design and engineering for a PFAS addition to the Water Treatment Facility, required under new rules effective 2031 through 2032.
