Zoning Board approves garage variance, continues shed dispute to March
Zoning Board · Meeting of January 21, 2026
Blackstone Zoning Board approves storage building variance with strict residential-use conditions. Tom Walsh's 1,680-square-foot structure at 3 Chestnut Street exceeded the 600-square-foot accessory building standard; the board unanimously approved the variance conditioned on no commercial activity and no human occupancy, with Building Inspector Vinny Tirone confirming the ruling. In a separate matter, the board unanimously continued the Monica Lane shed dispute to March after applicants Patrick and Zachary Tremblay agreed to hire a surveyor in spring to document ledge constraints on their property, which had prevented compliance with a reopened building permit.
The board also unanimously approved three vendor payments totaling $521.
